Brown Rice - Great source of protein, carbohydrates, and energy. Not white rice commonly found as filler in lesser quality foods.
Wheat, Barley, Oats - Different fibre sources to allow for a balanced diet. Foods made from grains are rich in carbohydrates (starch and dietary fibre), protein, vitamins and minerals, but are low in fat and contain no cholesterol. They also contain many ‘phyto-chemicals’ (such as anti-oxidants and phytoestrogens) which help to protect the body against disease. Studies show that a diet rich in whole grain foods may reduce the risk of heart disease, diabetes and certain cancers by up to 30%. Diets which include more whole grains can also help in controlling body weight. Barley has also been shown to reduce cholesterol. Oats can produce a modest reduction in blood cholesterol.
Herring / Fish Meal - Pure source of Omega 3 fatty acids which have earned a wide reputation for such things as preventing heart disease, improving blood flow, and targeting ailments such as arthritis, colitis, psoriasis, and a range of cancers. Omega 3 fatty acids may relieve inflammation associated with things like arthritis and other skin disorders.
Vitamin E (preservative) - Vitamin E, folate and a range of other components in whole grains act as antioxidants. Current scientific evidence supports the view that oxidation may play a role in the long term development of atherosclerosis and that antioxidants may help to counteract this process.
Flaxseed - Excellent source of Omega 3. The seeds and oil of the flax plant also contain substances that promote good health. Flaxseed and flaxseed oil are rich in alpha-linolenic acid (ALA is part of the Omega 3 group), an essential fatty acid that appears to be beneficial for heart disease, inflammatory bowel disease, arthritis, and a variety of other health problems.
Lecithin - Contains Choline & Inositol which are essential for the breakdown of fats and cholesterol. It helps prevent arterial congestion, helps distribute bodyweight, increases immunity to virus infections, cleans the liver and purifies the kidneys.
Kelp Meal - Simply put, there are more minerals & vitamins found in Kelp than any other plant.
Yucca Schidigera - Comes from the Yucca plant and aids in the microflora system of the gastrointestinal tract. This results in better assimilation of nutrients. Yucca has also been shown to reduce fecal odor by as much as 30%.
Rosemary - is an ancient herb that has been used since earliest times for food and medicine. This herb is said to act as a stimulant to both the nervous and circulatory systems and helps to soothe the digestive system relieving indigestion and flatulence. It also acts as a superb tonic for the whole body, detoxifies the liver, stimulates the brain, enhances energy, and is a deterrent to pests.
Biotin - Converts food to energy and is required for the synthesis of carbohydrates, proteins, and fatty acids. It is especially important for healthy fur, skin, and nails.
Calcium - Essential for the growth and maintenance of bones and teeth. It enables muscles including your heart to contract properly.
Garlic - This herb over the years has gained a reputation for targeting ailments such as colds, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, digestive disorders, bladder infections, as well it contains a blood clotting preventive agent.
Aniseed - The seeds of this delicate plant are well known to ease colic, bloating, indigestion and in addition, they have been used to increase breast milk production
Cinnamon - Has been widely used for many years as a digestive aid, as well as prevention of infections.
Thyme - Helps to prevent gas and stomach upset.
Juniper - Juniper is a valuable urinary remedy for cysitis, and a useful detoxifying herb. It has a diuretic action to increase blood flow, and is helpful in decreasing joint inflammation.
Milk Thistle - An antioxidant that stimulates the growth of liver cells, and protects it from toxins.
Talin - Derived from fruits, talin is 3000 times sweeter than sugar yet only adds 1 calorie when used in proportion in foods.
Proteinate Minerals - There are 5 proteinate minerals in all our formulas. (Zinc, Iron, Copper, Manganese, Cobalt) These are more commonly referred to as “chelated minerals”. The body can usually only absorb about 15% of the minerals it consumes, when a mineral is chelated, it is bound to an amino acid. This allows the body to absorb 100% to 300% more of the same mineral. Therefore when the body uses chelated minerals in its diet, it benefits from drastic amounts more of each mineral it consumes.
